Our annual food festival will return from 2nd – 4th August, offering a weekend of delicious dishes, tasty tipples, expert masterclasses and complimentary treats. Here’s what you can expect…

Indulge at the farmers’ market on Level 3

Friday 2nd – Saturday 3rd August, 10am – 6pm

Sunday 4th August – 11am – 5pm

Offering everything from handmade luxury doughnuts to craft ales and charcuterie, Ludlow Food Festival will be curating a farmers’ market for you to discover a variety of delectable treats from a host of independent suppliers.

Local business showcase on Level 1

Friday 2nd – Saturday 3rd August, 10am – 6pm

Sunday 4th August, 11am – 5pm

To complete the selection of Taste offerings, local businesses including Halfpenny Cider and Pip’s Hot Sauce will be showcasing their best-sellers on Level 1. Joining them is the team behind Kamado Joe, who will be showcasing their premium outdoor grills and barbeques.

Kick back at a free foodie film screening

From 11am every day of Taste of the Mailbox, we’ll be showing some of the most-loved family films (all foodie themed of course!). Grab a seat, sit back and relax in the chilled surroundings of the Urban Room on Level 2 for the following screenings:

Learn from a Michelin Star chef

Saturday 3rd August, 12pm – 2pm

Join Birmingham Michelin starred chef, Brad Carter of Carters of Moseley, as he hosts an exclusive masterclass in Kitchen Gallery’s beautiful Mailbox showroom. Known across the city for his innovative menus and modern techniques, Brad will be cooking up two tantalising courses* before taking time to answer any culinary questions you might have. You’ll also receive a copy of Brad’s mouth-watering new book, Staff, signed by the man himself, as well as a selection of special Carters of Moseley gifts.

Experience a taste of the Caribbean with Original Flava

Saturday 4th August, 2pm – 3pm & 5pm – 6pm 

Founded by brothers Shaun and Craig, the Original Flava duo offer authentic Caribbean cuisine made simple. With a huge online following and their very own cookbook, the internationally-recognised pair will be cooking up a storm on Saturday 3rd August from 2 – 3pm and 5 – 6pm at Canalside, where you’ll be able to try the food for yourself while learning top tips and tricks!

Bring da’flava into your home

Saturday 4th August, 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Social media sensations Original Flava will be joined by BBC journalist, Beccy Wood at the Mailbox big screen on Level 2 for a cookery Q&A. Here, you’ll have the chance to learn their kitchen tips and tricks so you can bring da’flava into your own home.

BBQ demonstrations from Low ‘N’ Slow

Sunday 4th August, 1pm – 2pm

Expert BBQ demonstrations from one of Birmingham’s most loved street food vendors, Any Stubbs of Low ‘N’ Slow, will take place on the sunny Canalside. Andy will be cooking up Longhorn steaks from Dunwood Farm, advising on what to look for when buying beef and reveal how to set up a two zone cooking area on the grill.

Become a wine connoisseur

Sunday 4th August, 3pm – 5pm

The wine experts from Harvey Nichols will join the Taste celebrations with an exclusive wine tasting event in their beautiful private dining room. You’ll discover the flavours behind a selection of still and sparkling wines from their own-label ranges, while enjoying a specially curated cheese sharing plate to complement each drink.

Whether you like pina coladas or want to cool down with a cosmo, our mixologists will be giving you the chance to try their very own cocktail creations. Head to the Urban Room on Level 2 throughout the weekend to enjoy complimentary concoctions and learn how to make the classics from the experts at Aluna, Malmaison, Churchills and more.
