The people of the Midlands are my inspiration for this piece of work and, their spirit, passion and personality is unique and special and should be celebrated. A building that breathes
2nd May 2008
The Cube is the final phase of The Mailbox, a mixed use development with retail, restaurants, boutique hotel, residential apartments and offices. It is now well under way. The developer, Birmingham Development Company has created its own construction arm, BuildAbility Ltd, to build out the project and already they have dug the largest hole in Birmingham and installed two tower cranes on site to build the scheme. In just two years time, there will be a 23 storey building standing in their place – crowned by Birmingham’s first rooftop restaurant which has already been let by D&D London – formerly Conran Restaurants.
